Heat

We live in the perfect part of the country. Weather-wise that is. It rains sometimes, but we need moisture. Occasionally we have a little snow flurry but it is usually enjoyable and brings back memories of times when snow was fun. And never do we get a heat wave. Until now. It is difficult knowing what to do to avoid the heat. Especially at my age. I can;t go down to the beach and sit with my feet in the water. The reason....... I can't get up again. And so we are in a record breaking heat wave here in Port Angeles. The temperature is record breaking and the length of the problem is also record breaking.

My getting along with this non 'air conditioning' is sitting in one place, working on a project that totally absorbs me. I am working on Christmas presents. And I am not knitting socks.

The reason for no blog is that I have run out of memories. Maybe when the weather gets normal, my brain will return to normal. I will try to be more reliable in the future.Thank you for the caring comments.

First of all, I'm so happy to know that you are okay. But I'm not happy to know that you are suffering from the heat. My best suggestion for such a time is to eat ice cream. Of course, I do need to admit that I haven't yet come across a situation where ice cream wasn't perfect. So there you have it ~ eat ice cream! lol

Glad to know you're okay. Hope the heatwave is over soon. Ask that wonderful busdriver to take you guys to the beach and help you get up when it's time to go. Take care!

Working on Christmas presents in July. Wow. You put me to shame, for sure. I'm not even ready for the birthdays coming up in a couple of weeks!

We're down the map from you although on the drier side of the state. So sorry to hear about your weather. We have no air conditioner either so it's hang out in the basement time for us.

Put your feet in a bucket of water. It worked for my grandma.

All I can say is thank goodness you are alright. No post since July 17 was giving me separation anxiety!

also glad you are OK and can only suggest you move to the UK we rarely have a heatwave problem here - except when we do! But you know what we say about the British weather - if you don't like it, just wait a minute - it will change. Am sitting at work dodging thunder, lightning and heavyrain, and in a few minutes I will be cycling across campus and I know the sun will be out! I love it here! no worries about not blogging when your brain is to hot!- Stay well!

I'm north of you in the burbs of Vancouver, BC and we've been having the same heat wave. Never have I been so empty of creative thought and motivation!

Yesterday we started our vacation a few hours north, and I don't think I've ever been so appreciative of the temperature being "only" 90 degrees. I found that sitting in the shade with a good book and my feet in a tub of cold water was the best relief.

Ah, Port Angeles from the Twilight saga books! That's it, I'm moving to your part of the country because over here in the other Washington (DC, that is), we're suffering as per usual for August!
