Tjéna Svensto, Mom of Martha, Trévligt att rå´kas/trä´ffas!
You look wonderful and so does your new home. Congratulations! I'm one of Martha's fans by the way, just in case you were wondering ;-) My mother-in-law Nancy's grandmother came from Sweden to the U.S., to Galveston to be precise. She got the heel of her shoe caught in tram or train rails near the harbor and was saved by a Swedish sailor/woodworker. The two met, and the rest is family history. Nancy, my husband Gary and I are great fans of Henning Mankell's mystery novels, and Nancy says she gets more of an idea about her Swedish family background thanks to his stories. I really enjoyed your story about the newspapers in Sweden. I'm Dutch and I used to read the morning, afternoon and evening paper, but never got a subscription, because I liked getting the paper as soon as it came from the printer. I sure hope you'll post some more childhood memories, I'll share them with Nancy.
Best wishes, enjoy your new home! Adjö´ så lä´nge! Judith
Thank you for opening your home to us. Your house almost looks as if it were in Sweden. It is adorable. Looking forward to more stories from a life lived.
Your new house looks so warm and cozy! I would absolutely love to live in a place like that. It’s neither too big nor too small. It’s just the right size. It would be easy to maintain and clean.
Your house looks very neat and minimalistic, especially on the inside. I like the painting in the living room. The umbrellas seem to look like lamps joining the real one on the left side. Was that a door behind you in the second picture? Sorry, I’m just so curious of so many things. :D Was it grandpa who took your pictures? Aww..
What a fine-looking house you got there, ma’am. It looks very simple, yet it exudes the right amount of coziness and warmth. And you look quite happy with your new space! Well, it may be a bit late, but I want to say congratulations on your new place!
